Since 2009, Thomas Sauvin has salvaged discarded negatives from a recycling plant on the edge of Beijing. Sauvin’s Beijing Silvermine archive now encompasses over a million personal snapshots from 1985 to 2005, allowing the reconstruction of a large part of the history of popular analog photography in the country and providing a visual platform for cross-cultural interactions. Table shared with Max Pinckers and Sebastien Girard.
